Interest of the renal scintigraphy in the management of the renal fracture in child: a case report in dakar (senegal)

Résumé
Les lésions traumatiques rénales sont généralement plus graves chez l’enfant que chez l’adulte en raison des facteurs anatomiques propres à l’enfant. L’évaluation de la fonction rénale différentielle du rein lésé est fondamentale dans sa prise en charge médicale. Nous rapportons un cas de fracture rénale gauche de grade IV de la classification de l’American Association for the Surgery of Trauma chez un garçon de 6 ans à l’Hôpital Générale de Grand Yoff de Dakar où la scintigraphie rénale au DMSA99mTc a été mise en contribution aussi bien dans le bilan initial que dans le suivi médical. La place de l’imagerie médicale notamment l’intérêt de l’imagerie scintigraphique dans la prise en charge médicale du rein fracturé a été précisée.

Summary
The renal traumatic hurts are generally graver at the child’s than at the adult because of the anatomical factors appropriate to the child. The evaluation of the differential renal function of the hurt kidney is fundamental in its medical care. We report a case of left renal fracture rank IV of the classification of American Association for the Surgery of trauma (AAST) at a boy of 6 years in General Hospital of Grand Yoff in Dakar where the renal scintigraphy with DMSA-99mTc was put in contribution as well in the initial balance assessment as in the medical follow-up. The place of the medical imaging in particular the interest of the scintigraphy imaging in the medical care of the renal fracture was indicated.
